Boys and Girls Coats For All Weathers

No matter the weather, there's sure to be a coat just right for your little boy or girl. Hatley's best-selling showerproof, lightweight raincoats are an excellent year-round choice and come in a fabulous variety of fun, stylish designs any child will adore. PVC-free, with a lovely soft touch polyurethane outer and comfortable terry cotton lining. Each coat comes with it's own built-in hood and the sleeves roll up easily if necessary.

Designed in-house by Hatley from their Quebec, Canada headquarters, favourites include Dinosaur, Purple Flower, Spring Song, Farmer Jack, and Social Butterfly but we also stock many others including Creepy Bugs, Rescue Animals, Later Alligator, Surfer Girl, and Northern Leopard Frog.

Dinosaurs is a hugely popular boys design, with it's stylish blue and green dinosaur print on a rich brown background. Likewise for the classic Hatley Farmer Jack boys coat with it's striking red farm tractor print. For girls, social butterflies is a perennial favourite, but the more recent Spring Song and Purple Flower girls raincoats have also proven extremely popular as has the vibrant and eye-catching Surfer Girl coat with it's surfboard, dolphin and campervan motif.

All the raincoats have matching wellington boots and umbrellas available seperately.

Hatley raincoats are sized by age from 1 to 7 years. However from August 2011 Hatley are introducing some brand new designs to the UK market including their new splash gear waterproof range. Aimed at a slightly older age-range of 4-12 years, the Hatley Splash Gear childrens jackets have classic, understated designs, detachable hoods, velcro closures and front zippers. The matching wellies are slightly longer than the regular Hatley wellington range and have integrated pull-on handles, a neoprene upper and reflective trim.

Alternatives to Hatley include Hippychick's unisex blue with red stars waterproof raincoat. Manufactured from teflon coated nylon, they come with a detachable hood and fully taped seams. Premium outerwear brand Spotty Otter also have a lovely range of waterproof jackets for kids. Featuring peaked hoods, adjustable cuffs and reflective piping, they are available in a variety of unisex colours including charcoal, blue and red.

For the winter months, Spotty Otter's fleece-lined range of childrens jackets are a great choice. Manufactured to be highly durable, waterproof and breathable, and available in blue or pink. Matching fleece-lined dungarees are also available to help keep your child super cosy on those biting winter days.

For the ultimate in warmth, Spotty Otter's Down range of clothing takes some beating. The ever popular Down combo jackets have detachable sleeves to easily convert into a gilet so they should last well beyond the winter months.

For the summer months, the Kidid windcheater childrens jackets make an excellent lightweight and compact coat to pack in your little ones suitcase when travelling abroad. Available in two fun and colourful designs, butterfly and dinosaur, these coats pack away inside their own pocket and have an elasticated clip for attaching them to your child's waist, so they never lose it!
