A group of young triathletes have got on their kids' swimwear to boost the coffers of Sport Relief.

The four friends, from Swinton Primary School in Scotland, swam, ran and cycled their way to £800, according to the Berwickshire News.

One of the boys, ten-year-old Calum Watson, explained they had two main motivations for getting involved in the national fundraiser.

He said watching a feature on BBC One programme the One Show about obesity made him realise the importance of getting active.

The youngster added that whenever he felt tired during the triathlon, he "thought of the people in Haiti", who were devastated by a huge earthquake earlier this year.

Joining Calum on the jaunt was 12-year-old Adam Gaston and brother Sam, ten, along with 11-year-old Cameron Ponder.

The quartet covered six lengths of Duns swimming pool, did four laps of a rugby pitch and cycled six miles.

Adam remarked: "It's quite a lot to do but we're all quite good at and it's not for us, it's for charity."

Earlier this week (March 20th 2010), Sport Relief officials announced over £29 million had been raised so far this year.
