Most kids have grown out of their first batch of all in one baby suits before they learn to walk.

However, little Xavier has amazed his parents David and Mary King by pulling himself up and toddling at the age of six months - even before he can crawl.

Now the grand old age of seven-months-old, he has happily been walking around his parents' house in the glaze of the media spotlight.

Mrs King revealed she has already bought a playpen to contain the boisterous baby, adding she cannot take her eyes of him for a second.

She remarked: "Xavier is more advanced than most babies his age. It was just amazing when he got up and started putting one leg in front of the other."

Commenting on the toddler's feat, child development expert at the Royal Infirmary in Newcastle Dr Martin Ward Platt said the couple will need eyes in the back of their heads to keep the little one out of mischief.

In 2007, 38-year-old Essex mum Connie Robinson's son Reuben also shocked doctors by learning to walk at six months.
