Parents with baby back carriers may not be the typical image of tourists in Ibiza.

However, many travellers would be surprised at how suitable the Balearic island is for a range of holidays, according to the Spanish Tourism Office.

Although Ibiza is known for superclubs, partying and young people, there is another side to the destination, market analyst at the body Carmen Hernandez Gomez said.

She suggested there are corners of the island, such as Ibiza Old Town, which are perfect for relaxing sunset strolls.

Visitors should try its "lovely food" and enjoy a spot of shopping, Ms Gomez added.

"It is a destination that will surprise everyone - it surprised me - as it is not what you expect at all. People who visit definitely change their perception," she remarked.

Another destination which could appeal to parents with baby back carriers is Lithuania.

Earlier this month, the country's tourism office recommended heading to Klaipeda in late July for the annual Sea Fiesta.
