Kids wellies may be needed at the Glastonbury festival this weekend.

The music event kicks off tomorrow (June 24th 2010) and organisers have urged those packing their bags to prepare for all types of weather.

Festival bosses urged revellers to "play it safe" and plan for both rain and sun, meaning those bringing children should pack kids wellies and sun protection for toddlers such as suncream.

"[We] hope you get more use out of the latter," they stated on their Twitter feed.

Muse, Stevie Wonder and Gorillaz are the headline acts at this year's Glastonbury, with the likes of Rolf Harris, Joy Orbison, Reef and Slash set to wow the crowds across the weekend.

Irish rockers U2 were originally scheduled to headline, but were forced to pull out after singer Bono suffered a back injury.

The event is known for catering for children with its Kidzfield, where a range of entertainment is planned.

Face painting, music, dance and crafts are set to be on the agenda in the special children's area.
