Manchester United may have just missed out on the Premier League title to Chelsea this weekend, but Wayne Rooney had his baby son in toddler clothing to console him.

The footballer brought his son Kai onto the pitch to wave and smile at the crowds as the team said farewell for this season and he seemed to be in his element.

Rooney admitted that having his son has changed his life in a great way.

"It's different and hard work, but a great feeling. Now I have someone to look after and I just want to be with Kai and Coleen as much as possible," he told the People.

The 24-year-old also revealed that he is now tucked up in bed much earlier than in his pre-baby days, with 22:30 an average time instead of 01:00.

Elsewhere, John Terry also took his two toddlers onto the pitch as his team scooped its first league title in four years.
