Parents seeking tips and information about the latest children's swimwear or swimming trainer seats could join the blogosphere.

New mum Jessie Staggs told the Cumberland Times-News that blogging about her experiences is a great way to keep up to date with all the latest baby developments.

She explained that as she is a stay-at-home mother using attachment parenting techniques, she can sometimes not interact with other mums for weeks at a time.

Instead, she has joined online communities, where she shares ideas with other web-savvy parents.

These discussions range from the best baby snacks to co-sleeping and breastfeeding.

"I was in search of products I?could use with my daughter," she told the news provider. "[Blogging] opens up millions and millions of women who share the same ideals we have for parenting."

Last month, Atlanta Journal-Constitution blogger Theresa Walsh Giarrusso suggested Facebook is a great point of contact for parents, allowing them to discuss which illnesses are going round in communities.
