Journalist James Henderson's children loved splashing about in their kids' swimwear while on holiday in Anguilla.

The Daily Telegraph columnist recounted a trip to the Caribbean destination in a recent article, where he detailed enjoying seas with "glassy jade water … so clear it appears marbled".

Staying in the Meads Bay resort, the family enjoyed a bit of rest and relaxation, which involved plenty of lounging on the beach and having dips in the pool in their kids' swimwear.

Mr Henderson remarked: "Few beaches are as spectacular as Meads Bay in Anguilla. The sand is blindingly white and so thick that even walking becomes aerobic exercise."

When they were feeling a little more energetic, they explored other parts of the island, such as Sandy Island, where they took part in snorkelling.

The Guardian has previously recommended that families who enjoy swimming could try a holiday in Saas Fee in Switzerland.

It said there are plenty of other leisure activities to enjoy at the resort, including skiing, husky riding and hiking.
